Six IPL Captains Not To Attend The Opening Ceremony

Six IPL Captains Not To Attend The Opening Ceremony: Hello, Everyone Today I am going to share some exciting facts on the Six IPL Captains who are not to attend the opening ceremony.

Six IPL Captains Not To Attend The Opening Ceremony

The eleventh edition of the Indian Premier League is fast approaching and the opening match which is scheduling to play on the April 7th, 2018. The Defending Champions such as Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings are going to lock the horns at a Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

The opening ceremony of the tournament is going to take place just before the commencement of the match. However, it is practically impossible for the other team captains to attending the ceremony, as they have to play the game very next day.

Every year, the ceremony is taking place a day before and is attending all the captains where they sign the slogan that is Spirit of Cricket pledge.

This time around though the Supreme Court has appointed the Committee of Administrators which is rescheduling the opening ceremony and also directing the BCCI to arrange it on the match day itself. But they did not realize that it won’t be possible for all the captains of the franchises to attend the same.

Special Shoot Of The Other Captains

After a significant goof up that is ahead of the IPL, the BCCI has now decided that only Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni, MI and CSK skippers, is going to attend the opening ceremony.

The other six captains are doing a particular video shoot on April 6th and leave for their respective cities that is very evening itself. There is also a doubleheader on the April 8th, 2018 with the Delhi Daredevils who is taking on Kings XI Punjab at 4 PM and RCB is going to face off KKR in the evening.

The IPL team should have done their homework. They are calling the players Gautam Gambhir and Ravichandran Ashwin a day before an afternoon match. That is an absolute lack of homework. The official was fuming over the goof up which is making the IPL Governing Council and believing that they should have to consider the logistics.

Ashwin and Gambhir have to attend the opening ceremony, they only boarding a 9 pm flight from the Mumbai to Delhi as there are no late evening flights from Mumbai to Chandigarh.

Now from Delhi, they cannot take a flight to the Chandigarh on Sunday morning because the airport will remain closed. So either they travel through a car during the night, which is a dangerous proposition or in the morning of the match to play at 4 pm.

The acting president of the BCCI CK Khanna is also accepting the mistake and clear that the other six captains do not have to attend the opening ceremony.

We are aware that are some logistical issues that have coming up. It sorts out at the earliest. I think captains are calling a day earlier and their portion is shot and showing during the opening ceremony of the Match.
