To make your work out more effective, it’s important that your body is hydrated. And hydration goes beyond just sipping on water. Take a look.
To get the most out of your time at the gym, and to speed up your weight loss plan, drink plenty of fluids. Never underestimate the importance of keeping your body hydrated while sweating it out. Fitness experts Manisha Ahlawat from Vivafit and Pankaj Arora of Technogym share simple ways to go about it:
*Keep drinking water: Always carry a water bottle with you. It is safe and hygienic, plus you will get into the habit of drinking water frequently.
*Electrolytes: Avoid colas – instead rely on age basic recipes to hydrate and also replenish vital nutrients. For example, bel pathar sharbat, thandai, kokum sharbat, lassi and sattu drinks.
*Coconut water: Only water is not enough for you, so go for coconut water which easily available everywhere.
* Cut down on tea, coffee, and processed foods. All of these are either low on water content or dehydrate the body and are best avoided if you are into fitness.
*Seasonal fruits and vegetables: Seasonal fruits are the lifeline on hot days. Have citric and full of water content fruits like oranges, watermelons, lychees, and cucumbers.
*Avoid alcohol: If you are working out, avoid alcohol as it is extremely dehydrating.
*Have dairy products: Say yes to curd, lassi, and buttermilk – they help cool your body down and make sure it’s hydrated well.
