The Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar, whose term as Rajya Sabha MP is ending recently, has donating the entire salary and allowances to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund. In the past six years, Tendulkar has drawn nearly Rs 90 lakh in wages and the other monthly benefits.
The PMO has also issued a letter of acknowledgment which states that the “Prime Minister who acknowledges this thoughtful gesture and conveys his gratitude. These contributions will be of immense help in assisting the persons in distress.” Sachin Tendulkar, along with a veteran actress Rekha, has criticised a lot for their poor attendance in the Parliament all these years.
Tendulkar, however, has made a proper utilization of the MP Local Area Development fund.According to the data which is releasing through Tendulkar’s office, he has claiming to have sanctioned 185 projects across the country with Rs. 7.4 crore out of his allocating Rs. 30 crores which are using for the educational and relating structural development, including building and renovation of the classrooms.
